Woman who reportedly fell off building on 6th Street early Saturday morning identified

A woman found unresponsive on the sidewalk on E. 6th Street early Saturday morning has been identified by Austin PD.

23-year-old Queen C. Benson reportedly fell from a building on E. 6th Street in the early morning of  April 13.

Officers responding to a call in the 100 block of E. 6th Street near the intersection of Brazos Street found an unresponsive Benson on the sidewalk with obvious trauma at approximately 4:19 a.m., according to APD.

ATCEMS attended to Benson but she was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:43 a.m.

Homicide detectives interviewed witnesses while on scene according to APD.

The Travis County Medical Examiner has conducted an autopsy but is awaiting toxicology results before making an official ruling on cause of death.

APD says that based on all information collected, this is a non-suspicious incident.
