Katie Orth

Katie Orth comes to FOX 7 KTBC's Good Day Austin after spending several years anchoring in various Texas cities and most recently, Denver, Colorado.

Katie was born in Austin. Her family moved to Sugar Land when she was young. She spent her childhood visiting relatives in Austin: boating on the lake, enjoying local restaurants and hiking. The hill country stole her heart and since then, she was determined to live here.

For school, Katie went to Texas A&M University. Now, she is engaged to her childhood love, Coleman. After years of long distance, they are enjoying life together in Austin! They love walking lady bird lake and eating Tex-Mex.

Katie's hobbies include taking a workout class, reading a good mystery book, soaking in a thunderstorm and drinking iced tea.

Her favorite quote is, "Worrying is like worshipping the problem. Give your energy to positivity and good things will happen!"

Her best advice to aspiring journalists: Don't take yourself too seriously. But take your work seriously.
