2019 FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week

Week 14

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Lampasas quarterback Ace Whitehead. Whitehead completed 18 of 22 passes for 275 yards and four touchdowns in the Badgers' 56-6 second-round playoff win over Gonzales. He also rushed for two more scores, accounting for six of the Badgers' seven touchdowns.

Week 13

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Cedar Park quarterback Ryder Hernandez. Hernandez threw for 187 yards and four touchdowns while running for another 62 yards in the Timberwolves' post-season-opening 49-10 win over McCallum.

Week 12

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Westwood quarterback RJ Martinez. Martinez amassed close to 800 yards of total offense, including over 600 passing yards and 10 total touchdowns (seven passing, three rushing). Martinez also tied a state high school record with 50 pass completions. Unfortunately, all of that wasn't enough to get a win as Martinez and the Warriors lost in a shootout to Cedar Ridge 77-69.

Week 11

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Lake Travis running back Weston Stephens. Stephens rushed for 145 years and three touchdowns in the Cavaliers' 59-27 win over Hays.

Week 10

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Dripping Springs quarterback/wide receiver Preston Alford. Alford, just a sophomore, rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns and threw for 92 yards in the Tigers' blowout win over Seguin to all but clinch a district championship.

Week 9

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Round Rock running back Israel Morgan. Morgan rushed for 140 yards on 26 carries and scored 3 touchdowns in the Dragons' 34-31 overtime win over previously undefeated Stony Point. Morgan also caught 4 passes from QB Seth Ford for 106 yards

Week 8

This week's Fox 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Round Rock running back Israel Morgan. Morgan rushed for 140 yards on 26 carries and scored three touchdowns in the Dragons' 34-31 overtime win over previously-undefeated Stony Point. Morgan also caught four passes from QB Seth Ford for 106 yards.

Week 7 

This week's Fox 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Lake Travis Quarterback Hudson Card. Card threw for 225 and three touchdowns in the Cavaliers' 26-25 come-from-behind win over Westlake. 

Week 6

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Vandegrift quarterback Dru Dawson. Dawson completed 21 of 24 passes for 298 yards and four touchdowns in the Vipers' 32-25 win over previously undefeated Round Rock. Dawson also rushed for 70 yards on seven carries.

Week 5

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Stony Point running back Kendall Thomas. Thomas rushed for 301 yards and four touchdowns in the undefeated Tigers' 42-32 win over Cedar Ridge.

Week 4

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Vista Ridge quarterback Kyle Brown. Brown completed 25 of 32 passes for 353 yards and five touchdowns in the Rangers' 49-43 district win over Westwood.

Week 3

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Cedar Creek defensive back/kick returner Javon Livingston. Livingston scored all three of Cedar Creek's touchdowns in a 20-12 win over Fredericksburg on returns, including a 25 yard interception for a touchdown, and kickoff returns of 95 and 92 yards for touchdowns.

Week 2

This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Westwood wide receiver Julian DeBerry. DeBerry caught seven passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the Warriors 41-39 win over Austin High. DeBerry also added an 18 yard touchdown run.

Week 1

This week's Fox 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Bowie quarterback Trinidad Sanders. Sanders accounted for over 300 total yards (252 yards passing) and all six Bowie touchdowns (three rushing, three passing) in the Bulldogs' 42-21 season-opening win over Pflugerville.
