The Dripping Springs girls soccer team is making its second trip to state.

The Tigers last made a trip more than a decade ago in 2008.

Senior midfielder Jessica Carmichael says they're excited to be playing in the Class 5A state semifinal.

"Me and Ziva (Payer) and a couple of other girls have been on this team for four years and we have never made it this far. We didn't even make it to playoffs our Freshmen year, so we're super pumped, like this is just like a dream come true," Carmichael says.

Second year head coach Bailee Perrine says the team is hoping to do more than just win their Class 5A state semifinal. They want to win it all.

"That's the dream, right, that's essentially the dream, if it happened I'd have to ask a lot of people for advice on what do I do now," Perrine says.

Dripping Springs will play Mansfield Legacy for a spot in the state championship.
