Football players under investigation after tackling referee

A San Antonio school district is investigating after two football players tackled a referee on purpose.  

It happened Friday night in Marble Falls during a game between John Jay and Marble Falls High School.

The referee was hit by two John Jay High School football players before a play with a minute left in Friday’s game.

The two players who attacked the referee are currently suspended. The motive behind their attack is still under investigation.
