TCU head coaches in Austin for alumni event
AUSTIN, Texas - TCU head football coach Gary Patterson and head basketball coach Jamie Dixon were both in downtown Austin for an alumni event.
While the Texas Longhorns football team will be taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2022 and 2023, the current Longhorns will need to worry about Patterson's Horned Frogs.
TCU has owned Texas as of late. It's won the last four meetings by a combined score of 153-33. But Patterson says he doesn't expect it'll be easy to keep the streak going.
Patterson says, "I expect (Texas) to be a lot better than what they were even in the spring. Just watching it looks like they are going to be really good on defense and the offense is progressing."
"(Texas) won a bowl game. The key is (Texas) got back to a bowl game and that's what you're trying to get accomplished. From that point you try and win more ball games," Patterson adds. "Coach Herman is a going to do just fine. He's a good football coach."
