Austin weather: More rain on the way

Scattered showers will hit Central Texas Tuesday, and our rain chances will increase after that. Zack Shields has details in his full forecast.

AUSTIN, Texas - Keep the umbrella handy today because hit-and-miss showers are possible.

Not as rainy as yesterday and the highest rain chances will happen in the Hill Country.

Staying cloud heavy and very tropical with highs in the mid 80s but it will feel warmer than that because of all the moisture in the air.

Still tracking a slow-moving Western Low. It will arrive on Thursday and tap into the tropical moisture to turn on the widespread heavy rain and storms.

Rain chances and future rain totals are trending up.
