Slight risk of severe weather for Austin-area

FOX 7 Austin chief meteorologist Scott Fisher looks at the possibility of severe weather, including tornadoes, in Central Texas.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK UPDATE:

The Storm Prediction Center has changed the severe weather risk for Central Texas. Most of the area has been downgraded to a LEVEL 2 severe weather day (Slight Risk).

We will still be on the lookout for damaging winds and small hail, but the tornado risk will be the highest in Northeast Texas.

We are still thinking this will be an evening event.

The lid on the atmosphere will try to save us from a widespread severe weather event and now the severe storms will be isolated.
