2 arrested for alleged aggravated sexual assault
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Two men have been arrested for an aggravated sexual assault in a park.
According to the Austin Police Department, a female victim was sexually assaulted while being held at knife point by 58-year-old David Green and 18-year-old Kyle Kenoski at the Davis/White Northeast Neighborhood Park in North Austin on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018.
The victim told police officers she had been at her boyfriend's house in the surrounding area when they got into a verbal altercation. The victim left her boyfriend's house and went to the Davis/White Northeast Neighborhood Park around 6:30 p.m. While at the park, the female victim noticed an older white male, later identified as David Green, watching her while cooking at the grills in the park.
The victim went to picnic table area and made a phone call. Green set his things up at a nearby picnic table and offered the victim a beer, which she said she declined. During this time, the victim noticed a younger male in the park as well, he was later identified as Kyle Kenoski.
Kenoski also approached the victim and tried to strike conversation with her.
Green stated that he needed to start getting ready for work and walked a short distance away, behind the victim. Green quickly approached the victim from behind and wrapped her hair in his left hand. With his right hand, Green held a knife to the victim's throat.
Green took the victim's cellphone and made her walk to the back of the park, near the playground. At the playground, Green told the victim to undress herself before he sexually assaulted her. Kenoski sexually assaulted the victim as well after Green was finished.
The victim was then told to go to the bathroom, close the door and not come out for five minutes.
The victim waited a period of time before leaving the bathroom, gathering her belongings and calling her boyfriend. 911 was then called. During the course of their investigation, the Austin Police Department was able to identify 58-year-old David Green and 18-year-old Kyle Kenoski as the suspects involved in this aggravated sexual assault. Both suspects have been apprehended and taken to the Travis County Jail.
