Austin ISD schools provide free food to kids during summer

Hunger doesn’t end just because school does. Austin ISD is out for the summer but will still provide meals to kids through their Summer Food Service Program.

More than 40 AISD schools will be open to serve free breakfast and lunch to local children and teenagers 18 and younger. The meals will be available to all kids whether or not they attend school in the district. AISD says no registration or identification will be required.

To find locations, the public can call 2-1-1, text FOODTX to 877-877 or visit www.SummerFood.org
