Austin ISD updates community on district's response to CO-VID 19

Austin ISD held a press conference on Monday, March 16 to update their community on what the district is doing in response to CO-VID 19 concerns. 

On Friday, Austin ISD canceled classes and extended their spring break just hours after the city leaders confirmed the first cases of coronavirus in the Austin-Travis County area.

Austin ISD also announced changes to its food services amid the coronavirus outbreak over the weekend. The school district is teaming up with the Central Texas Food Bank and Austin Voices for Education and Youth to ensure students can still get fed.

The organizations are holding multiple events in multiple locations from Tuesday through Thursday this upcoming week.
