Austin police identify woman killed in downtown Austin crash
AUSTIN, Texas - A 20-year-old woman who died in a crash in downtown Austin last week has been identified by Austin police.
D'Avion Lee Suon, 20, was driving a grey 2007 Toyota Corolla eastbound in the 1400 block of W. Cesar Chavez on Wednesday, Jan. 22 just before 8:30 p.m. Austin police say she crossed the center line into the oncoming path of a green 1993 Chevrolet Silverado and the car and truck collided.
Suon was pronounced dead at the scene and APD says she was wearing her seatbelt. The driver of the Silverado was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

APD says this is Austin's seventh fatal traffic crash of 2020, resulting in seven fatalities this year. This time last year, there were three traffic fatalities.
