Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders to visit Texas this weekend
AUSTIN, Texas - Senator Bernie Sanders will be holding rallies this weekend across Texas with less than two weeks before Super Tuesday.
Rallies will be held Saturday, Feb. 22 and Sunday, Feb. 23 in El Paso, San Antonio, and Austin. This follows a rally in the North Texas town of Mesquite last week.

Sanders will be in El Paso Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Abraham Chavez Theatre, followed by a 7 p.m. rally at the Cowboys Dance Hall in San Antonio. Sanders will then be in Austin at Vic Mathias Shores at 5 p.m. Sunday evening.
The rallies are free and open to the public, but entrance is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sanders' campaign says tickets are not required, but an RSVP through the campaign website is encouraged.

According to a release, Sanders' campaign recently opened five offices across the state and launched a $5.5 million ad campaign across Texas and other Super Tuesday states.
The latest polls from the University of Texas and the Texas Tribune show Sanders is the favorite among likely Democratic voters to win the Texas primary on March 3. The poll shows him with 24 percent, followed by Joe Biden with 22 percent and Sen. Elizabeth Warren with 15 percent support. The other Democrats trail Warren.

Sanders is coming off a win in the New Hampshire primary. Before that, he finished in a virtual tie for first in the Iowa caucuses.
