First total eclipse to cross U.S. in nearly 100 years

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - The total solar eclipse on August 21st marks the first time in nearly 100 years an eclipse will cross the entire United States.

The total eclipse happens when the earth, sun, and moon all line up perfectly.

A partial eclipse will be seen from all over the U.S.
