Austin Public Health has confirmed lung injuries associated with e-cigarette use in Travis County and state investigators have identified more cases of severe lung diseases related to vaping across the state.

The Texas Department of State Health Services says there are now 54 confirmed cases in Texas, with half of those getting ill from e-cigarettes being teens.

Texas makes up ten percent of cases nationwide and state investigators are looking into 35 other possible vaping-related cases now.

Congress is also looking at ways to help stop the vaping epidemic.
