AUSTIN, Texas - The decision to cancel South by Southwest was not an easy one.
In a press conference Friday afternoon, Austin Mayor Steve Adler announced the decision to cancel the annual event. SXSW issued a statement on the cancellation on Twitter, saying they will faithfully follow the City's directions.
