AUSTIN, Texas - The number of suicides in Texas prisons has increased in recent years.
According to the Houston Chronicle, suicides in Texas prisons have doubled between 2013 and 2018.
Right now, the Travis County Sheriff's Office is working to curb these numbers by teaming up with Baylor University on a project to calculate suicide risk.
