AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Texas system just approved a 2.6 percent tuition hike for the next two school years.
That means undergraduate students at its eight academic campuses are expected to pay about an extra $290 a year.
University officials have argued the change is necessary to keep pace with inflation and recruit and retain employees.
Matt Patton with Angelou Economics joins Marcel Clarke to discuss the tuition increase.
