GoFundMe set up to help UT rowing club team replace equipment

Texas Crew, the University of Texas at Austin student run club rowing team, has set up a GoFundMe to help raise money so that it can replace equipment destroyed in an accident. The equipment is needed for the group's upcoming fall rowing season.

The group says on the GoFundMe page that its boats were in transit to Oklahoma City for the Stars and Stripes Regatta on June 22 when it was involved in an accident. 

No one was hurt but the group lost three boats, oars and its trailer.

Texas Crew says it's vital to get the lost equipment replaced because the group isn't able to fully participate in regattas and has no way to transport boats. 

The group is a student run organization and relies on donations and fundraisers.
