Hill Country Galleria cancels 4th of July celebration amid coronavirus outbreak

The annual 4th of July and Independence Day Celebration held at the Hill Country Galleria has been canceled over coronavirus concerns.

"In response to the latest guidance of public health officials and in an effort to protect guests, vendors, and staff from the spread of COVID-19, Hill Country Galleria has canceled the annual Independence Day Celebration and fireworks scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2020," the galleria said in a press release. 

The galleria continued, saying that public safety remains their top priority and that decision to cancel the event was "not taken lightly."

"While we are deeply disappointed that this long-standing annual event cannot happen this year, we felt it was important we take these precautionary steps to promote the health and wellbeing of our community.  Hill Country Galleria is dedicated to ensuring that we remain a safe and welcoming place for our guests," the galleria stated.
