Killeen police investigating death at southeast Killeen apartment complex

KILLEEN, Texas - Killeen police are investigating a death at a southeast Killeen apartment complex.

KPD says in a release that officers were told by Fort Hood personnel on Feb. 10 just before 5:30 p.m. that someone was at the East Gate claiming to have murdered his roommate.

Officers met with the person and got an address in Killeen, then responded to the 2300 block of Andover Drive and found a deceased person inside an apartment there.

The victim was pronounced dead at 6:14 p.m. and an autopsy has been ordered.

The suspect was taken into custody and is in the Killeen City Jail.
