MPD: Child survives hanging at daycare, woman flees and hits bicyclist
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Minneapolis police are investigating after a one-year-old was assaulted in a daycare Friday morning. Police say a woman fled from the daycare and hit a bicyclist and a car. The incident started on the 2700 block of Humboldt Avenue South.
The woman has been identified as 42-year-old Nataliia Mykhaylivna Karia. She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for medical treatment and will be booked into Hennepin County Jail when she's released from the hospital.
The chase ended near Park Avenue above I-94, where the woman was threatening to jump off the overpass. Bystanders at the overpass were able to hold the woman down until police arrived to take her into custody.

9:43 a.m. police were called to the 2700 block of Humboldt Avenue South
9:57 a.m. the suspect struck a pedestrian at 28th Street and Grand Avenue
9:59 a.m. the suspect struck a bicyclist at 28th Street and Park Avenue
10:06 a.m. the suspect tried to jump off Park Avenue overpass above I-94 where she was later taken into custody
The child is in the hospital, but expected to survive, according to Minneapolis police. The bicyclist is in "very, very serious condition." The driver, who was hit, got out of his vehicle and was dragged by the suspect's vehicle for several blocks.
