Pop-up gives Austinites chance to shop Glossier products IRL
AUSTIN, Texas - Popular digital beauty brand Glossier is giving Austinites a chance to shop their products offline with a pop-up on South Congress.
The pop-up has been open at 2000 South Congress (next to Magnolia) since late October and it's open until December 8.
The company was founded in 2014 by Emily Weiss and now has more than 200 employees in offices all around the world. The company has close to 40 products that include skincare, makeup, body and fragrance.
Officials say that one of their most popular items, called Boy Brow, was sold every 32 seconds in 2018! That's the same year where the company says it surpassed $100 million in annual revenue.
Glossier has gained a cult following thanks in large part to its "skin first, makeup second" philosophy and it's that feeling that the company has brought to its pop-ups like the one in Austin.
The Austin location is designed with a classic roadside attraction in mind and features local and West Texas nods.
The company teamed up with Connor's Creamery (lanched by Garbo's owner Heidi Garbo) to sell soft serve. Flavors include vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.
Glossier also created some limited edition mugs that $5 from sales will be donated to RAICES, a Texas group helping underserved immigrants and refugees.
The Austin pop-up is one of five Glossier has had this year. Other locations were London, Miami, Seattle and Boston.
Glossier has two permanent stores in New York and London but the majority of its business still comes from digital sales.
