Salvation Army of Austin to host job fair to fill positions at new East Austin shelter
AUSTIN, Texas - The Salvation Army of Austin is hosting a job fair later this month to fill positions at a new East Austin shelter set to open soon.
The job fair will be open on Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their new Rathgeber Center on Tannehill Lane.
The 212-bed family shelter is set to open in February and the focus of the job fair is to fill all the positions needed to open it.
Those attending are encouraged to bring a resume, although they're not required. Attendees will have the opportunity to interview on-site for positions they're interested in.
Open positions include case management specialists, custodians, child/family therapist, driver, lead monitors, receptionist, part-time teachers, residential services coordinator, and a shelter director.
Admission to the job fair is free.
