The complaint says that on several occasions during the trip, Kuchler had sex with the minor, and once in San Antonio, sexually assaulted and forced her to engage in oral sex.

Kuchler was arrested at his home Monday by US Marshals, says the US Attorney's Office. He remains in federal custody pending a detention hearing next week.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. The initiative marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute those who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
