A second affidavit was released in the Cedar Park missing woman's case.

Investigators believe Amanda Gordon was killed inside of her Cypress Lane home located in Cedar Park. Court documents obtained by FOX 7 indicate the murder happened on or about Dec. 10.

"We are confident, as possible without DNA confirmation, the remains are Amanda Gordon,” said Lt. Larry Bond with the Cedar Park Police Department.

Gordon's common-law husband Samuel Byrd allegedly killed her and took her body to a ranch located in Dale, Texas.

Investigators say they found jewelry and body parts belonging to Gordon in a burn pit and a pond that was located on the property. According to the affidavit, investigators were able to match some of the jewelry found on the scene to Gordon's driver license picture. Gordon's family members were able to positively identify other pieces of jewelry found on the scene as hers.

The affidavit also states that bones found in the burn pit match those found in the nearby pond. "Ultimately we discovered remains in two different areas of the property,” said Lt. Bond.

Willaimson County DA Shawn Dick says there is still a lot of work to do before the case can go to trial, “It is obviously a complex case, complex investigation, multiple parties, and information and witnesses, the Cedar Park Police Department has been doing a really good job and thoroughly investigating every detail in this case, and will continue to do so.”

According to the arrest warrant, Josiah Byrd, Samual Byrd's brother confirmed that he admitted to killing Gordon. Josiah, said he and Byrd's girlfriend, Rachel Buckley, were called to the house on December 12th to help clean up the murder scene. After buying supplies, Buckley told investigators she hid a bag for Byrd in Lago Vista. Detectives say the bag contained a 9mm handgun eyeglasses and a cell phone which belonged to Gordon.

A 9mm bullet fragment was also located near the pond which investigators said could've been used by the gun found by police believed to be hidden by Byrd and his girlfriend.

Byrd remains in the Williamson County Jail under a $750,000 bond. He has been charged with Gordon's murder.
