Texas Book Festival going entirely virtual for 2020

The Texas Book Festival will be going entirely virtual for 2020 due to COVID-19.

The festival is set to take place from October 31 to November 15. The festival says moving to an all-virtual event allows organizers to expand the annual festival weekend to two full weeks of virtual programming people can attend from the comfort and safety of their living rooms.

"We'll miss seeing all of you throughout the grounds of the Texas State Capitol and along Congress Avenue in Austin this year, but we recognize that our mission of bringing together readers and authors to celebrate books and literacy is, in some ways, more important than ever," says the festival. "Books help keep us connected, after all, and we want to stay connected to you by offering two weeks of author panels and interviews, readings, and more."
