Texas State launches investigation over alleged racially biased comments made by basketball head coach
AUSTIN, Texas - Texas State University has launched a formal investigation into allegations made by former Texas State men's basketball players who say the men's basketball head coach Danny Kasper made racially biased comments.

A statement from the university's Director of Athletics Dr. Larry Teis, says that he requested the formal investigation through the Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX and that it is the department's top priority to fully cooperate with the investigation.

"I am aware of the allegations of former Texas Men's Basketball players regarding racially biased comments attributed to men's basketball head coach Danny Kaspar. I personally find these allegations deeply troubling. I, and the entire Department of Athletics staff, take the concerns expressed by our former student-athletes very seriously. At my request, the university has launched a formal investigation through the Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX. It is our top priority to fully cooperate with the investigation."
