Officials say the office began implementing its emergency procedures as it became clear that the no-shows were going to be a problem.

The Travis County Clerk's Office says that Super Tuesday got off to a rocky start due to multiple no-shows of election judges and poll workers apparently due to fears over the coronavirus.

Officials say the office began implementing its emergency procedures as it became clear that the no-shows were going to be a problem.

“There were about 11 locations on the democratic party side that didn’t have anybody there so we had to send our backup people to those locations. We had another set of locations That were a little larger than that on the Republican side that needed the same kind of help,” said Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir.
