Two die in two separate auto-pedestrian crashes in Austin
AUSTIN, Texas - ATCEMS responded to two auto-pedestrian crashes Wednesday night, one in East Austin and one in Northeast Austin.
ATCEMS reported the first on at Loyola Lane and Sandshof Road around 6:30 p.m., with reports of a person lying in the roadway with CPR in progress.
Thirty minutes later, the pedestrian, an adult woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second occurred in the 1140 block of Airport Blvd around 6:53 p.m. with initial reports of a pedestrian not breathing in the middle of the street.
CPR was administered, but the pedestrian, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
ATCEMS says drivers in both areas should slow down and remain alert for investigators working in the area and expect road closures and heavy delays.
