Austin Diaper Bank holding special Mother's Day diaper distribution

The Austin Diaper Bank is holding a special public diaper distribution on May 8 in honor of Mother's Day. 

The Mother's Day distribution will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at ADB's North Austin warehouse located at 8711 Burnet Road, Building B and will include a special gift bag while supplies last.

The gift bags are a result of donations from P. Terry's Burger Stand and Dell Children's Health Plan.

Diapers will be sized one to six and there's a limit of 25 diapers per child.

Individuals are asked to stay in their cars and follow signs and directions from Travis County Precinct 2 constables to the pickup area. Diapers will only be distributed to those in cars.

Anyone who is sick or has been around someone who's sick is asked to stay home and have someone else pick up the diapers.

The event will be the sixth Friday distribution since March 27 to help families economically impacted by COVID-19. Typically ADB only distributes diapers through its nonprofit partners.

ADB has distributed 136,000 diapers to 2,700 families since March 27 during its prior Friday distributions.
