Pedestrian dies after being hit by driver in Central Austin

AUSTIN, Texas - A pedestrian has died after being hit by a driver in Central Austin.

It happened around 11:40 p.m. on November 23 at the intersection of 45th Street and Airport Blvd.

First responders gave the person who was hit CPR, but the person died.

Officials did not say if the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene after the crash or if the driver was injured.

Roadways in the area were shut down while police investigated.
