Rapper, social media star Lucas Coly dies at age 27

Lucas Coly, a rapper and social media star, has died. He was 27.

The entertainer’s agency, I Discover Stars, confirmed his death on social media on Thursday in an Instagram post that read, "Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro. My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there."

Coly’s cause of death is unknown at this time. On Wednesday, Coly wrote a message on Instagram that read: "I love y’all."

The rapper was known for the songs "I Just Wanna," "Break Ya Back" and "Numb," which gained millions of views on YouTube. 

Coly was born in France in 1996 and later moved to the U.S. with his family when he was 8 years old, Forbes reported citing NBC News. 

He started creating music in the early 2010s, with some of his songs amassing millions of views on YouTube.
