Temple woman pleads guilty to possessing, distributing child porn
WACO, Texas - A Temple woman has pled guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography, says the US Attorney's office.
Lydia Brynn Christensen, 33, pled guilty to one count of possession and one count of distribution of child pornography in Waco Tuesday.

According to court records, authorities executed a federal search warrant in August 2019 at Christensen's house based on information they had received about the contents of her cell phone. The cell phone was seized and a search revealed numerous videos and photos depicting child pornography.

Authorities also discovered numerous communications where she had transmitted and received child pornography, says the US Attorney's office.
Christensen has remained in custody since her November 2019 arrest and now faces up to 20 years in federal prison for each charge. Sentencing is scheduled for October 7.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice, says the US Attorney's office. Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
