Santa Fe High School students return 11 days after deadly shooting
SANTA FE, Texas (FOX 26) - Santa Fe High School students are returning to class Tuesday morning, 11 days after the deadly shooting.
On Friday May 18, Dimitrios Pagourtzis opened fire at Santa Fe. He killed eight students, two teachers and injured 13 others.

The entire country has rallied behind the Santa Fe community as they mourn the ones they lost, and try to heal after such a horrific event.
Houston sports teams have also shown their support, by visiting with students, inviting them to games and wearing shirts in their honor. The Houston Astros, Dynamo, Dash and Rockets participated in giving away tickets to students to their games, raised money for the Santa Fe Memorial Fund, or showed support with Santa Fe gear.
Houston Texan JJ Watt also made national headlines after he offered to pay for the funerals of all the victims.

The community gathered together on Sunday to pray, pay their respects and show their support.
“We are going to pray together, we are resilient and we are healing as a community,” said the newly-elected Mayor of Santa Fe Jason Tabor.
Alvin High School students were bussed to Santa Fe Tuesday morning to encourage students on the tough journey back to school.
Graduation for high school seniors will be held on Friday, June 1, at Joe Raitano Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
Pagourtzis, 17, who was a student at the school, was arrested and charged with Capital Murder and Aggravated Assault of a Peace Officer in the shooting. He is being held without bond.
