Reed's lawyers were trying to get Bastrop County Judge Carson Campbell to preside over the case and review any new evidence, instead of Brazos County Judge JD Langley who is assigned to the case.

is execution was stayed indefinitely by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and is being sent back to the Bastrop County court where he was originally convicted of the crime in 1998. There, a judge will examine claims raised by Reed's legal team including the claim that he may be innocent. 

Rodney Reed case to be featured on 'The Dr. Oz Show'

Rodney Reed's execution has been postponed indefinitely after an outpouring of support including from some big names in Hollywood. Reed's brother, Rodrick, will be on the syndicated talk show "The Dr. Oz Show" to talk about the next steps in the case.
